The String Cheese Incident doesn’t kick off its 2024 tour schedule until spring, but in the meantime, the band has announced the return of its initially pandemic-inspired stream series, Friday Night Cheese.
Each week, the band will open the vaults to share one special Incident from the past 30 years, with full shows streaming for free on nugs.net and SCI’s YouTube channel.
Friday Night Cheese was originally launched by the band during the COVID shutdown as a way to offer fans an exciting live music experience they could enjoy while stuck at home. The series is set to return starting this Friday, January 26th at 8 p.m. ET with the band’s September 6th, 2003 performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
“This Incident was the record release party for the Untying The Not album and features some first-ever versions of new songs from the 2003 record,” SCI said in its announcement. “The show featured a special encore where we were joined by our friends in STS9, plus a super-rare acoustic encore played on top of the front-of-house mix position. We know you’ll really enjoy this unique Incident.”
The band went on to announce that for this week only, the Untying The Not double gold vinyl will be 15% off on the group’s website.
The String Cheese Incident will return to the stage in April for the Texas Eclipse festival and then hit the road for a run of spring tour dates in May.
