pretty lights announces two night run at hampton coliseum

Pretty Lights will take over Hampton Coliseum for a two-night run on May 31st and June 1st. The concerts in Hampton, VA mark the first headlining dates of 2024 for the electro-soul DJ and his backing band.

An artist pre-sale for tickets to Pretty Lights at Hampton Coliseum begins on Thursday, February 22nd at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, February 23rd at 10 a.m. ET. To keep tickets in the hands of fans, the pre-sale will only be accessible via a unique code from Seated. Fans can sign up for a code on Pretty Lights’ website and will receive it via email and SMS text message 20–60 minutes prior to the pre-sale. VIP tickets will not require a code.

The Hampton Coliseum run is currently slated to kick off the 2024 touring year for Pretty Lights, who returned last year following a five-year hiatus. The enigmatic producer born Derek Vincent Smith returned to the stage in 2023 on the long-awaited Soundship Spacesystem Tour, which saw him team up with longtime collaborators Michal MenertBorahm LeeAlvin Ford Jr., and Chris Karns for a new live show heavy on improvisation and “swirling” together snippets of various songs. The ensemble delivered multiple-night engagements across the country throughout the summer and fall as well as headlined Suwannee Hulaween and Cascade Equinox in Oregon. With a capacity of nearly 14,000, the Hampton Coliseum—nicknamed “The Mothership”—will mark PL’s largest headlining concert since returning from hiatus.

In 2024, Pretty Lights will take top billing at Bonnaroo and Electric Forest. At Bonnaroo, the DJ and his band will perform twice across two nights, including a sunrise performance. According to The Festive Owl, the extended PL sunrise set will begin as a late-night show on Saturday (6/15) and last clear through the morning of Sunday (6/16). Bonnaroo is already rolling out the red carpet for Pretty Lights, announcing that—for the first time in festival history—the main What Stage will power up on Thursday to host the band’s set.
