From window cleaners to toilet scrubbers, here are some tech tools you can buy to outsource whatever chore you most despise.
For windows: Let’s start off with windows, which can be tedious to clean (and still end up infuriatingly streaky when all is said and done). For hard floors: The iRobot Braava Jet, $299.99 on Amazon, uses a precise jet spray to make your floors gleam, and it connects to your phone or smart home devices, learns the layout of your house, and can work in concert with Roomba robot vacuums to, per the company, “team up to vacuum to mop automatically in perfect sequence.”
For the toilet: The Giddel toilet cleaning robot, $399.99 at Altan Robotech, attaches to your bowl and scrubs the top, inner rim, under rim, and interior using varying motions and pressures. You can also try the Coway Bidetmega 400R, $376.73 on Amazon, which is a bidet but also works to keep the inner parts of the toilet clean and hygienic when not in use.
For the trash: The Airdeer automatic trash can packs your trash, seals the bag, and adds a new bag to the container with the touch of a button—basically, it does everything besides actually taking out the trash. The device is $145.99 on Amazon and comes with six refill rings, each of which holds 20 trash bags.
For the litter box: The Brightshow self-cleaning litter box, $329.99 on Amazon, comes with its own bags, cleans the litter automatically, and even connects to your smartphone.
For your kids to help: Viral videos on social media are praising the KIDSCLEANCAR portable go kart, which allows your child to zoom around the house and mop at the same time. It’s currently unavailable on Amazon, but usually retails for $200 when not sold out, so check back often if you want to offload some of the household duties to your small child.
