If you’re looking for a video doorbell camera but would prefer an alternative to the ubiquitous Amazon-owned Ring brand, a bunch of Arlo video doorbell cameras are on sale right now.

Most security camera brands require a monthly subscription fee to use most of their features, with the biggest exception being Eufy. Arlo is no different and will need a subscription—which ranges from about $13 to $25, depending on which plan you choose—to access all the camera’s features. However, there are some things you can still do without a subscription.

The cheapest of the bunch is the wired first-generation Arlo Essential Video Doorbell for $48.98 (originally $149.99) after a 67% discount. This is a great budget option for anyone not looking for the highest resolution and a one-time install that won’t require battery replacements. You’ll get a 180-degree field of view, 1,536 by 1,536 resolution, compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, two-way audio, night vision, phone notifications, and cloud storage with the subscription. You can read a full review of this device on PCMag.

The wireless version of the Arlo Essential Video Doorbell is discounted to $69.99 (originally $87.99). You get the same features as the wired version, minus the wired functionality, obviously. (The chime will connect to your phone and an Alexa or Google smart speaker.) The battery will last up to six months before needing a recharge. You can read the full review of this model over at PCMag.

The second-generation Arlo Video Doorbell (1080p) is available at Walmart for $74.95, and the 2K version is on Amazon for $89.99 (originally $129.99). The second generation can be both wired or wireless, giving you the choice when you install it. You get the same features as the first generation but potentially a higher resolution of 1,944 by 1,944 if you go with the 2K. Keep in mind the second generation only lasts up to four months between charges if you decide to go with the wireless installation. You can read the full review from PCMag here and see a breakdown of the different models from Arlos’s website here.
