After joining forces to close out The 65th Street Sessions on Thursday, Billy Strings and Chris Thile teamed up once again for a duo performance on the Saturday Sessions series on CBS Saturday Morning.
The pair of bluegrass luminaries played in the traditional style, shared a single microphone, as treated viewers across the country to a few traditional tunes with a modern twist. Among them were “Wild Bill Jones”, “I am a Pilgrim”, and “I’ve Been All Around This World”.

Both musicians are nominated for awards at this weekend’s 66th Grammy Awards. Strings, who previously won Best Bluegrass Album in 2020, earned nods for collaborations with Dierks Bentley and Willie Nelson as well as his covers album Me/And/Dad with his father Terry Barber. Thile’s Celebrants is up for Best Folk Album, an award he has won twice before in addition to Best Contemporary Folk Album and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
