English festival de force Glastonbury will return with a 2024 lineup topped by Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA with Shania Twain in the “legend” slot. The festival will take over its longtime home of Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset from June 26th–30th.
The headliners will perform on the festival’s primary pulpit the Pyramid Stage in addition to LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Seventeen, Paul Heaton, Keane, Paloma Faith, Olivia Jean, and Arya Starr. The 13-member boyband Seventeen will become the first-ever K-pop group to perform on the Pyramid Stage, while this year will mark Coldplay’s fifth appearance on the main stage—a new festival record. This will mark Dua Lipa’s third trip to Glastonbury and SZA’s first, ascending straight to the top of the Pyramid.
Moving down the scale of stages, the Other Stage will feature an array of acts including bands IDLES, The National, Two Door Cinema Club, and Bombay Bicycle Club alongside U.K. rappers D-Block Europe, The Streets, and Headie One, Canadian pop-punk OG Avril Lavigne, DJ Disclosure, and more.
Over on the West Holts stage, Jungle leads the lineup that includes fellow electronic artists Justice, Nia Archives, and Sofia Kourtesis interspersed with rappers Danny Brown and Noname, America neo-R&B staples Black Pumas and Brittany Howard, U.K. reggae pillar Steel Pulse, girl group Sugababes, and more.
On the Woodsies Stage (formerly known as the John Peel Stage) Jamie XX tops the roster alongside his The xx bandmate Romy, progressive producer James Blake, indie rockers Gossip, post-punk duo Sleaford Mods, singer-songwriters Declan McKenna and Arlo Parks, indie-pop outfit Alvvays, indie darling Soccer Mommy, punk rock provocateurs Mannequin Pussy, and plenty of others.
Finally, on The Park stage are Irish post-punkers Fontaines D.C., South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, local pop trio London Grammar, multi-hyphenate King Krule, electronic duo Orbital, Ohio alt-rock throwback The Breeders, and many others. Also performing throughout the festival, though not yet assigned to a specific stage, are Honey Dijon, DJ Spen, Eliza Rose, Bonobo, Skream & Benga, Faithless, and Flowerolove. Glastonbury stated that there are many more artists, stages, and performance areas to be announced.
Tickets for Glastonbury 2024 are already sold out, but the festival is giving away 20 pairs of tickets as part of a fundraiser for victims of conflict. Find more info here and see the initial lineup below.
