Shannon Noll has launched the second season of his podcast Idol Talking with Nollsie, where he is joined by Guy Sebastian – reuniting the original pair from the grand final of the first-ever Australian Idol in 2003, where Sebastian ultimately won the competition.
The pair discussed the recent 20-year anniversary of the first series of Idol, as well as their run-ins with Australian media and a long-abandoned song that the pair began writing on the night of the Australian Idol grand final that was never completed. The first part of the 90-minute conversation between the two singers has been released today, with the second part set to be released next Thursday, March 21st.

Last month saw Noll announce an extensive national tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut album That’s What I’m Talking About. A deluxe edition of the album is set for release on Friday April 5th, including a new song titled ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ which sees him duet with another Australian Idol finalist, Cosima De Vito – who came third overall.
Sebastian also recently commemorated 20 years in the industry with two ‘Double Decade’ shows that took place in the Forecourt of the Sydney Opera House this past December. Noll joined Sebastian on-stage during the second night, where they duetted on Noll’s signature song: A cover of Moving Pictures’ ‘What About Me’. Last month saw Sebastian tape his sixth season as a coach on The Voice Australia, joined by three new judges: Kate Miller-Heidke, LeAnn Rimes and fellow Idol alum Adam Lambert.
