This September, My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will see Eye to Eye on a co-headlining tour. The 11-date sojourn will see the respective genre-blenders perform sets of equal length and switch performance orders each night.
The joint Eye to Eye Tour will kick off on September 10th in Wilmington, NC and continue throughout September with shows in the Southeast and along the East Coast. Other stops include Charlotte (9/13), Alpharetta, GA (9/14), two nights at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater (9/18–9/19), Syracuse, NY (9/24), Columbia, MD’s Merriweather Post Pavilion (9/27), and the tour is set to wrap on the 28th in Raleigh.
“We were lucky enough to see Nathaniel and some of the Night Sweats at Preservation Hall in New Orleans some years ago – our minds were blown, our hearts were opened, and we got swept up in the joy of it all. We are so happy to share the stage with these fine folks for a run full of peace, love, music, and fun!” said My Morning Jacket’s Jim James.

Tickets for the My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Eye to Eye Tour will be available via a pre-sale beginning Tuesday, March 26th at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can register for access on the tour website. Other pre-sales will continue throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, March 29th at 10 a.m. local time. The My Morning Jacket/Nathaniel Rateliff bromance is well documented, boiling over into a sit-in last summer at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. During MMJ’s annual pilgrimage to the iconic Morrison, CO natural amp, the band brought out Denver local Nathaniel Rateliff to share vocals with Jim James on Traffic‘s “Feelin’ Alright?”.
