Roger Daltrey joined forces with rock legends from his generation and beyond Sunday night as Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant and Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder sat in with The Who singer at Royal Albert Hall in London.
The collaboration came at the end of a special Ovation performance recognizing Daltrey’s 24 years hosting benefits for Teenage Cancer Trust. Daltrey was joined by Glen Hansard and Kelly Jones along with his fellow rock stars for The Who classic “Baba O’Riley”, which featured a solo by The Who violinist Katie Jacoby.
The set also included a visit from guitarist Simon Townshend, son of The Who guitarist Pete Townshend. Simon also joined Eddie Vedder during his solo set, while Robert Plant performed with his project Saving Grace featuring Suzi Dian. The Who previously played two gigs with a full orchestra at Royal Albert Hall earlier in the week on Monday March 18th and Wednesday the 20th as part of the same series supporting Teenage Cancer Trust.
