Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival will return to Sandy Point State Park on the scenic Chesapeake Bay beachfront in Annapolis, MD on September 21st and 22nd for two days of music, fun, community, and environmental sustainability.
Topping the artist lineup for Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival 2024 are Oteil Burbridge & Friends (featuring Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Johnny Kimock, Tom Guarna, and Lamar Williams Jr.), The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush, Kitchen Dwellers, Sierra Hull, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, and Trouble No More.
Jennifer Hartswick, Natalie Cressman, and Ron Holloway will serve as artists at large, and every jam will help preserve and revitalize the crucial Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, with proceeds from ticket, food, beverage, and merchandise sales going to Maryland-based non-profit organizations working to protect the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed.
As festival co-founder Ron Peremel, a certified watershed steward, explained to Live For Live Music of the event’s unique conservation focus, “Everybody in this area, they care about the watershed of the Chesapeake Bay. They play, swim, fish, boat, crab in it. They’re economically affected by it. It’s a really important thing that people care about, but don’t know how to fix it.
“Just by having fun,” he continued, “You’re helping to protect this important body of water that affects 19 million people in six states within the Chesapeake Bay watershed and supports over 3,600 species of fish, wildlife, and plants.”
Rounding out the conservation-focused festival’s 2024 lineup are Ara, Cris Jacobs & Friends, The Lil Smokies, The Dirty Grass Players, Big Richard, Brown Eyed Women, and Geraldine. Festival-goers will also enjoy delicious, locally sourced food, including fresh oysters, local microbrews, craft cocktails and wines, a “hopping” beer garden, yoga classes, beach and yard games, kid’s activities, local craft vendors, music and bay conservation workshops, and much more.
