Renowned turntablist DJ Logic has carved out a unique niche in the jam scene as a creative liaison between the worlds of hip-hop and improvisational instrumentation. The Bronx, NY native frequently gathers all-star groups of musicians for late-night dance parties that reliably blur the boundaries of genre and create a fusion far greater than the sum of its parts.
He will be joined for the Dead & Co Sphere opening weekend edition of DJ Logic & Friends by a number of familiar-to-Deadheads collaborators including celebrated guitarist Eric Krasno, a longtime veteran of the Dead universe via his work with Phil Lesh & Friends and more; Billy & The Kids bandmates Aron Magner (keys, The Disco Biscuits) and Reed Mathis (bass); and drummer Ben Atkind (ElephantProof), who performed at multiple editions of Dead & Co’s Playing In The Sand before parting ways with his former band, Goose, late last year.
