Following a successful 2023 debut, The Infamous Stringdusters will bring their curated Infamous Weekend back to Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, VA in 2024. The family-friendly “mini-fest” will take over the home of Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival from September 19th–21st, expanding from two to three days this year.
The Infamous Stringdusters will anchor the festival with six sets including some special performances. Also appearing at the Infamous Weekend are Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, The Lil Smokies, The Last Revel, Dangermuffin, Jon Stickley Trio, Falco & Book play Garcia, The Wilson Springs Hotel, Isaac Hadden, Florencia & The Feeling, TC Carter Band, and The Fly Birds, who will alternate performances on the Lawn Stage and Pine Grove Stage. Jon Stickley Trio, The Wilson Springs Hotel, Isaac Hadden, and Florencia & The Feeling will all perform two sets. Thursday, September 19th’s only musical performance will be a set by the Stringdusters on the intimate Pinge Grove Stage.
“We couldn’t be any more excited about the return of The Infamous Weekend,” said Johnny Buck, executive director of Infamous Weekend producer Rooster Walk Inc. “The Stringdusters are a pleasure to work with, and they’ve really embraced this event and want to grow it as their hallmark, once-a-year event. They’ve given great input in helping curate this band lineup, and they’re going to be offering their fans so many unique opportunities to meet and interact with them over the course of these three days at Pop’s Farm.”
Those opportunities to interact with the band include a bike ride with lead singer Travis Book to Mountain Valley Brewing in nearby Axton. VIP ticket holders will also have various exclusive opportunities including an afternoon set on the waterfront VIP stage, a happy hour meet and greet with the band on Friday, and an acoustic fireside jam to cap off Friday’s festivities. A press release notes that other activities are in the works and could be added in the weeks and months to come.
Festivalgoers can enter Pop’s Farm as early as Thursday at noon to take full advantage of on-site camping. Tucked away in Virginia’s Piedmont foothills region, Pop’s Farm offers a plethora of activities for outdoor enthusiasts including guided floats and fly fishing on the nearby Smith River, a six-hole disc golf course on the Farm, and pedal boat trips on Pop’s Pond.
Tickets for The Infamous Stringdusters’ 2024 Infamous Weekend are on sale now, along with on-site RV spaces, car camping passes, cabins, and glamping packages.
