Kyle Hollingsworth celebrates the festive side of life with his new single, “Carnival”. Out now via SCI Fidelity Records, the track will be part of a future solo album from the String Cheese Incident keyboardist.
“I wrote this one recently,” said Hollingsworth. “It is based on a piano melody I was playing around with. The lyrics speak to the ‘carnival’ lifestyle that a lot of traveling musicians live. It is definitely a nod to my life with The String Cheese Incident as well.”
“Carnival” incidentally aligns with SCI’s joyful and eclectic style in addition to its nod to the band’s whimsical lifestyle, popping from festival to festival and stage to stage, greeting old friends and making new ones at each stop in a never-ending parade of revelrous jubilation.
Speaking of, Hollingsworth is gearing up to hit the road for a run of shows with Kyle Hollingsworth Band, including a special show with Neighbor at Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom on April 13th. The band will round out April with shows in Girdwood, AK, at Alyeska Resort and Nectar Lounge in Seattle, WA.
