Widespread Panic will return to Boston this summer for the band’s first shows in Beantown in nine years. Panic will make its debut at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway with a three-night run from August 22nd–24th.

Tickets for the Widespread Panic three-night run in Boston go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 12th at 10 a.m. ET here. The run adds to a continuously growing summer tour schedule for Panic, which currently includes the band’s annual Red Rocks Amphitheatre run (6/21–6/23) and its return to Asheville, NC (7/25–7/27).

Before summer kicks off, Widespread Panic will also host its yearly Panic en la Playa getaway in Mexico (4/14–4/17) followed by a headlining set at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (4/25) and a two-night Memorial Day Weekend run in Memphis, TN featuring openers Margo Price and Paul Cauthen (5/24 and 5/25, respectively). Most recently, the band staged a three-night engagement in St. Augustine, FL last month. Revisit Live For Live Music‘s nightly coverage: Friday | Saturday | Sunday.

Widespread Panic last played in Boston on June 17th, 2015 for a one-off show at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion (now known as Leader Bank Pavilion). To get a sense of just how long ago that was, the show marked drummer Duane Trucks‘ first-ever performance of Traffic‘s “Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys”, during a time when Trucks was still the interim drummer before permanently replacing founding member Todd Nance in 2016. Nance passed away in 2020 at the age of 57.
