Naarm/Melbourne artist Zachary Leo has just announced his new EP, coming our way on Friday, 14th June. The news arrives alongside a fresh cut of the record dubbed ‘On My Mind’, a heartfelt slice of R&B-infused funk-pop produced and mixed by Tobias Priddle.
“‘On My Mind’ is about trying to reach out to someone close to you to tell them something is wrong but struggling to find the words to explain how you are feeling,” the artist explains in a press statement.

“The song’s meaning is backed by an upbeat disco/pop-style groove that contradicts the lyrical theme,” he continues. “It kind of represents how I go about my day-to-day life; inside, I am struggling, and on the outside, I am full of beans and ready to take on the day.”
To celebrate the release of the upcoming extended player, Leo will also be throwing a live launch at The Bergy Bandroom in his hometown of Melbourne on Saturday, 27th July.
You can take the disc’s first cut ‘On My Mind’ for a spin up above.
