Tipper, the beloved electronic music producer, who earlier this year announced his impending retirement from live performances, has announced a three-night Tipper & Friends run at Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, AL.
Set for Labor Day Weekend, August 30th–September 1st, the run will feature “a large 3D projection mapping project of the entire stage facade,” and costume themed nights, where fans can win free weekend passes for them and a friend to attend Tipper at The Gorge Amphitheatre in 2025.
Saturday will be “Dress Like a Rock Star,” with the stipulation that to qualify for judging, your rock star of choice must have recorded music down in Muscle Shoals, located just 75 mins west of Huntsville. Sunday is “Sleepover Night”, so pack your PJ’s and stuffys. Costumed attendees will be judged not on their PJ’s but their stuffy, but in order to qualify you must still wear pajamas (“when you post your pics you should also share your stuffy’s story, as this will factor considerably in the final judging”).
Each night will include a late-night social after the show, and organizers are working out details for a ‘Lot Scene’ in the parking lot outside the venue. The full support lineup, VJ team, and ticketing info for Tipper & Friends at Orion Amphitheater will be revealed on Tuesday, according the initial announcement.
