Iconic R&B trio, Boyz ll Men, will perform at the Tanglewood concert series festival at Koussevitzky Music Shed, on Thursday, June 27.
Nathan Morris and Marc Nelson of Boyz ll Men were discovered at Philadelphia talent shows and later Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman both joined the group. They released their first album Cooleyhighharmony in 1991 and earned three Grammy awards. They have released 13 more albums with their latest in 2017. Their 1994 album, ll, consisting of one of their most well known songs, “I’ll Make Love To You,” sold 12 million copies in the United States. Now the trio consists of Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman.
Boyz ll Men will be joined by two special guests: Javier Colon and Matt Cusson. Javier Colon is another R&B artist who was a past member of both EmcQ and The Derek Trucks Band. He is also the winner of NBC’s The Voice season one. Matt Cusson is a multi-talented artist who has toured with Christina Aguilera, India Arie and Colon himself.
These artists will bring classic R&B sounds to Tanglewood, a concert series that welcomes modern and classical music. It is the summer residence of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts.
