South Korean singer-songwriter and Former K-pop band Miss A member MIN has made a grand comeback with her new EP, ‘PRIME TIME’. The new EP features four fresh tracks, including a standout collaboration with rapper Lil Cherry on the title track.
This EP is deeply personal for MIN. Reflecting on her time in the highly competitive K-pop industry, she shared, “After being in the K-pop industry for so long, I felt as though I had to exist within a certain mold, look a certain way, dress a certain way.”
MIN – ‘PRIME TIME’ (Feat. Lil Cherry)
MIN expressed her hopes for the EP, saying, “I hope that this EP empowers people and instills in listeners the hope that you, too, can live the way you’d like without having to answer to any critics and naysayers.” ‘PRIME TIME’ is a short but powerful project that encourages listeners to embrace their true selves.
Seeking a new path, MIN moved to New York, a city that inspired her to embrace her true self. ‘PRIME TIME’ is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, capturing her authentic voice.
The EP offers a variety of vibes. The title track ‘PRIME TIME’ with Lil Cherry is a powerful anthem about breaking free and feeling confident. ‘SHIMMY (Skip)’ is a fun and catchy tune, while ‘M.A.W (Might As Well)’ is a sweet and bittersweet song.
The final track, ‘Happy Plant (A Call From Grandma)’, features a heartfelt phone conversation with MIN’s grandmother, who holds a special place in her heart. This touching recording encapsulates the themes of growth and resilience found throughout the EP.
