moe issues summer tour update following festival cancelations

moe. on Monday confirmed that the band will still head out on its 2024 summer tour, set to begin on July 4th in Asbury Park, NJ. This update comes after the seminal jam band canceled performances at Northlands Music Festival and its own Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie.

“As you likely know, we’ve had some significant losses in recent weeks, which is why we’ve taken some much needed time away from the road to be with our family,” the band wrote on social media. “We just wanted to reach out & let you know that we will be back for our Summer Tour, which starts on the 4th of July in Asbury Park, NJ. Thank you all so much for your continued love & support. We look forward to seeing you all soon.”

moe.’s summer tour will kick off with a special trio of Northeast shows featuring Neighbor and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country over 4th of July weekend. After that, moe. will tour the East Coast and Midwest with support from Daniel Donato before heading out west with a series of full two-set concerts into early August. The band will also appear at Snow King Mountain in Jackson, WY on July 25th alongside Melvin Seals & JGB and Pink Talking Fish for the annual Jackson Hole King Concerts series.

Days before moe. was set to christen its annual Summer Camp Music Festival under its new banner Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie, the band canceled its many sets at its own festival due to “extenuating family circumstances.” Though moe. was missing from Three Sisters Park over Memorial Day weekend, the love was felt throughout the festival, particularly during what was originally billed as a collaborative set with co-hosts Umphrey’s McGee. During the star-studded Umphrey’s & Friends performance which featured members of GooseThe Disco Biscuitslespecial, and more, Umphrey’s covered “Rebubula” by moe. in honor of its missing co-host. Then this past weekend in Swanzey, NH, Andy Frasco & The U.N. took over moe.’s primetime slot, keeping spirits high as attendees at the festival and fans around the country kept the men of moe. in their hearts.
