Orange Blossom Revue will return to scenic central Florida’s Lake Wales to celebrate its 10th anniversary on December 6th and 7th, 2024. Leading the charge on the boutique folk festival’s lineup are JJ Grey & Mofro, The War and Treaty, and iconic singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen.
Also appearing at the 2024 edition of Orange Blossom Revue are Asheville, NC-born bluegrass heavy hitters Steep Canyon Rangers, mountain music kin Sam Grisman Project, Nashville honky-tonk singer Emily Nenni, 14-year-old mandolin prodigy Wyatt Ellis, and self-proclaimed “Orange Blossom Country Queen” Van Plating. These acts will commandeer the Lake Wailes Park alongside the titular Lake Wailes.
This year’s installment of Orange Blossom Revue marks the culmination of a decade of love and care by area natives and festival founders Rusty Ingley and Reid Hardman. Over the years, the founders, the community, and the festival partners have grown Orange Blossom Revue into a folk-loving, snowbird’s dream as the rustic roots music lingers in the air amid the Spanish moss and Palmetto trees.
“We’ve come a long way since our first event,” Ingley said. “The community’s support has been the backbone of our success, and we’re thrilled to celebrate our 10th anniversary with such an incredible lineup. We can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us and our attendees.”
Situated halfway between Tampa and Orlando, the close-knit community of Lake Wales has earned a reputation as one of Florida’s best-kept secrets. The town of 15,000 residents has benefitted annually from the festival’s partnership with local non-profit the Blossom Charitable Foundation. Established in 2021 by Ingley and Hardman, the organization serves to promote arts and culture in Lake Wales year-round. The foundation supports community-wide programs largely unavailable through the public school system including tutoring programs, arts education, and recreation programming.
“Our commitment to giving back to our community has been a driving force behind Orange Blossom Revue since its inception,” Hardman said. “It’s incredible to see how this fundraiser for Blossom Charitable Foundation has positively impacted so many lives in Lake Wales and beyond.”
