Central Cee shared his brand new single, ‘Gen Z Luv’, a track tackling modern love in the age of technology, before his recent collaboration with Lil Baby on the single ‘BAND4BAND’.
Last week, Central Cee previewed ‘Gen Z luv’ on Instagram, posting a snippet before quickly taking it down. The new single comes accompanied by an innovative music video, with the whole clip recorded on the rapper’s phone using a screen recording.
Central Cee – ‘Gen Z Luv’
This West London artist has been on the rise lately. His single, ‘Doja’, has risen to over 700 million streams on Spotify, placing second as the UK rap song in history—right after ‘Sprinter’, his collaborative effort with Dave. ‘BAND4BAND’ spent nine weeks on the UK chart, got 300,000 chart sales, and received Silver certification. Central Cee is also on Ice Spice’s recent single, ‘Did It First’.
This year alone saw Central Cee go home with two MOBO Awards for Best Male and Song of the Year for ‘Sprinter’, bringing his total MOBO Awards count to six, while he also received four nominations at the 2024 BRIT Awards.
Over and above ‘Gen Z Luv’, Central Cee is making his name known in music by capturing the essence of modern love and keeping that momentum as one of the top rap artists in the UK.
