Reggae heirs Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen Marley joined forces with the Colorado Symphony for the orchestra’s first-ever reggae performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO with special guest Burning Spear Friday.
Dressed for a night at the symphony in suits, the two sons of reggae innovator and Rasta holy man Bob Marley played classic songs from their father’s repertoire and their own original songs, all arranged for full band and orchestra, with the symphony adding layers of strings and grand orchestration. The magnificent sunset and breathtaking views of Red Rocks also helped elevate the spiritually potent performance.
