When he isn’t making noise with Dead & Company, 80-year-old Mickey Hart keeps himself busy with various creative pursuits, making art, films, and more, and now, for a limited time, fans can bid on a collection of his original paintings.

Four works created by the Rhythm Devil are currently up for auction, with bidding open until August 3rd at 11:59 p.m. PT. Entitled “Da Bolt”, “Da Blues”, “Smokin’ Rhythm”, and “Token Rhythm”, the paintings have been displayed at the Art at the Edge of Magic exhibit inside the Dead Forever Experience in Las Vegas, which will remain open until the end of Dead & Company’s Sphere residency on August 11th. The latter two paintings, “Smokin’ Rhythm” and “Token Rhythm”, are acrylic paint, measuring 15 x 30 inches with an original list price of $15,000 each.

“Da Bolt”, also acrylic, is the only non-abstract piece and features the Grateful Dead’s iconic 13-point lightning bolt logo. The painting is 30 inches square and reacts under ultraviolet blacklight, with an original list price of $55,000. “Da Blues” is the largest of the four, measuring 48 inches around its circumference. It is the only work made with oil paint and has the highest original list price of $55,500.
