Australian psych-rock mutants King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard are getting ready to loose a brand new album upon our ears. Dubbed FLIGHT b74, the prolific Naarm/Melbourne seven-piece’s new record will arrive on Friday, 9th August via their own p(doom) Records.
“Been working real hard on this one. So excited for you all to hear it!” King Gizz member Stu Mackenzie wrote on Instagram. “Thanks for flying.”

What’s more, fans won’t have to wait too long to hear the first cut of the forthcoming 10-track disc, with Stu flagging a new single dropping next Tuesday, July 9th. We don’t know the name of it yet, but it’ll be one of these bad boys:

- Field of Vision
- Hog Calling Contest
- Le Risque
- Flight b741
- Sad Pilot
- Rats In The Sky
- Daily Blues
Insanely, FLIGHT b74 will mark the band’s 26th studio album, forming the follow-up to last October’s The Silver Cord (which was their third album of 2023).
