Australian band Polish Club has some exciting news to share with their fans. They’ve announced their coming fourth studio album, “Heavy Weight Heart,” which will be independent and will be out on Friday, September 13th.
They’ve released a brand-new single entitled ‘How Dare You Fall In Love In This City’ and details of an October album tour with stops in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
The new single, ‘How Dare You Fall In Love In This City’ (HDYFILITC), is a real showcase for Novak’s songwriting, as it was written in five minutes and contains the vocalist’s first take. Working once again with the producer behind previous hits like ‘Manila’ and ‘Heavyweight’, Robby De Sa, Novak says it is the most natural, effortless lyric he has written.

Thematically, ‘HDYFILITC’ sits as a sister to ‘Manila’, both songs examining the fraught nature of searching for happiness in their hometown of Eora/Sydney. “Heavy Weight Heart” will be recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Marrickville over a couple of intense weeks in September 2023, coincidentally almost a year before its release date.
With personal influences from Novak’s recent heart surgery and the romantic milestones of the duo, this recordับ blends dreamy, love-infused themes with their signature rock ‘n’ roll vigor. Now independent after leaving their previous label,
Polish Club loves their independence in “Heavy Weight Heart,” returning with a promise of boldness and heart that is going to take their devoted audience on quite the musical journey.
