While Las Vegas, NV’s long-running Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival is taking a pause in 2024, the spirit of the event will live on in Sin City this fall with the inaugural A Big Beautiful Block Party, a two-day celebration of the culture, ideals, and evolution of Downtown Las Vegas, on Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th [get tickets].
“For a number of reasons it was appropriate to hit pause on the Life is Beautiful Festival this year,” organizers wrote when A Big Beautiful Block Party was initially announced. “We are hard at work reimagining and evolving the festival experience for the sake of you, the fans, and the incredible community that surrounds us. This event is not intended to replace the festival. For now, it gives us the opportunity to continue the annual tradition of gathering in Downtown Las Vegas to uplift one another, to express ourselves, and to connect. In time, the two will coexist.”
Set to take place at 324 S. Main St. in Downtown Las Vegas—a short walk from beloved spots like the Arts District, Symphony Park, East Fremont, and the Fremont Street Experience—A Big Beautiful Block Party will present two days of eclectic electronic music and more from around the globe on two stages with no overlapping sets and lower ticket prices than a full weekend-long festival.
The party gets started on Friday, September 27th with French electronic duo Justice, English DJ/producer Jaime xx, UK bass singer/songwriter/producer James Blake, Los Angeles-based alt-pop outfit NEIL FRANCES, Dead-loving house DJ/pianist LP Giobbi, Barcelonian export John Talabot, and Honduran-American singer-songwriter Empress Of.
On Saturday, September 27th, A Big Beautiful Block Party will roll on with sets from South Korean-born, Germany-based DJ Peggy Gou, beloved Brooklyn electro-rock ensemble LCD Soundsystem, British dance music collective Jungle, esoteric bassist/bandleader Thundercat, chillwave aesthete Toro y Moi, eclectic Canadian instrumental outfit BADBADNOTGOOD, and Kosovo-Albanian singer-songwriter Fifi.
