After days of speculation, it has been officially confirmed that Oasis – the Britpop band that brought Liam and Noel Gallagher to megastardom – have reunited. The news broke on Tuesday morning UK time (August 27th), with the band sharing the first 14 dates of their Live ’25 world tour. The full run of announced dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
The Gallaghers released a statement in conjunction with the news, which reads in full: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.” At the time of writing, only the Gallagher brothers – who oversaw every iteration of the band after Noel joined soon after their 1991 formation – have been confirmed as part of the 2025 line-up.
The announcement also notes that “plans are underway for Oasis to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year”. The band toured Australia for what was believed to be the final time in November 2005, supporting their then-most recent studio album Don’t Believe The Truth.
Oasis split acrimoniously in August 2009, less than a year after the release of their seventh album Dig Out Your Soul. Tensions between the Gallagher brothers, which had been prevalent throughout the band’s career, boiled over to seemingly the point of no return. “With some sadness and great relief, I quit Oasis tonight,” wrote Gallagher . People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Following the split, Liam and the remaining members of the final Oasis line-up – Andy Bell (also of Ride), Gem Archer and touring drummer Chris Sharrock – formed the band Beady Eye. They released two studio albums and toured Australia as part of the final Big Day Out line-up in early 2014 before splitting themselves later that year.
Liam then began a solo career, which brought him to Australia three times: The 2017/18 new-year period, December 2019 (which included headlining the final Fairgrounds Festival to date) and again in July 2022 as part of Splendour In The Grass.
Noel, meanwhile, formed a new project entitled Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds. The band have released four studio albums to date, and have toured Australia three times: The 2012 Big Day Out, Bluesfest in 2016 and supporting U2 on their 2019 Joshua Tree tour.
