After recently dropping the band’s first album of new material in nearly a decade, Widespread Panic has announced its second studio release of 2024, Hailbound Queen.

Coming on the heels of Snake Oil King, which marked the first new Widespread Panic studio album since 2015’s Street DogsHailbound Queen is set to arrive on November 8th on both vinyl and digital. The collection includes songs that the band has already incorporated into live sets including fan favorites “Halloween Face” and Bloodkin‘s “Trashy”, the latter of which will premiere on KMTN radio in Jackson, WY this Friday during Fish’s Morning Show (listen on 96.9 The Mountain or online). It also features “Blue Carousel”—a song that JoJo Hermann brought to fruition 20 years after late guitarist Michael Houser left it unfinished—and two songs debuted on the same night at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last year, original composition “King Baby” and “Keep Me In Your Heart” by Warren Zevon.

Hailbound Queen will be available on pylon orange vinyl at local record stores and on streaming platforms November 8th. Tune in to KMTN this Friday at 8:15 a.m. MT for a first listen to “Trashy”. KMTN will also replay the track throughout the Labor Day weekend.

Widespread Panic recently canceled all upcoming shows after guitarist Jimmy Herring was diagnosed with stage one tonsil cancer. For more information and details about Hailbound Queen, visit the band’s website.
