The first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump (which is actually the second debate of the 2024 election season—the first was between Trump and President Joe Biden) is upon us. Here’s where to catch the action live on Sept. 10.
When is the presidential debate?
The Harris-Trump debate is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET. It will be held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia and is expected to last 90 minutes with two commercial breaks. The debate will be moderated by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis. There will be no live audience present for the event.
Where can I watch the presidential debate?
The debate will be carried live on ABC News and is expected to be shown on other broadcast networks. If you don’t have cable, you can catch it on any cable replacement streaming service that includes these channels in your local market (such as YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV). ABC will also stream the debate on Disney+, Hulu, ABC News Live and on ABC.com.
Is there another debate?
The next scheduled debate is between vice presidential candidates Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. JD Vance—it will take place on Oct. 1 in New York City hosted by CBS News. So far, the presidential campaigns have only agreed to two debates (the first of which was between Trump and President Joe Biden in June before the latter left the race), but Trump has proposed two additional meetings this fall.
