Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros will reunite in December for a six-show, two-venue run in Fort Lauderdale, FL to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025.
First, the Grateful Dead guitarist/vocalist will head to Fort Lauderdale, FL’s Broward Center, where he mounted his 2023 New Year’s run, for a run of four shows in five days leading up to New Year’s Eve (12/27, 12/28, 12/30, 12/31). The Broward Center shows will feature full-time Wolf Bros Don Was, Jay Lane, and Jeff Chimenti alongside the group’s plug-and-play horn-and-strings backing ensemble, The Wolfpack. From there, Weir and his original Wolf Bros, Was and Lane, will head to the more intimate The Parker to kick off 2025 on a Grateful note with a pair of trio shows on January 2nd and 3rd.

Weir has not played with Wolf Bros since January 2024, when the band hosted a guest-filled performance as part of Mexican destination festival Dead Ahead. Of note, he had scheduled a pair of special orchestral dates with the group for the summer of 2024, but they were postponed as he shifted his focus to Dead & Company‘s 30-show stint at Las Vegas, NV’s Sphere, which came to a close in August.
Ahead of the New Year’s run, Weir will take part in an all-star tribute to the late Robbie Robertson at L.A.’s Kia Forum (10/17) and headline the 2024 edition of Live Oak, FL’s Suwannee Hulaween, where he will perform with The String Cheese Incident as The Bobby Weir Incident to close out the festival. He will also mount orchestral Wolf Bros performances in Chicago (11/17, 11/18) and New Orleans (11/22, 11/23).
In January, after completing the newly announced Fort Lauderdale run, Weir will return to Mexico for the second annual edition of his Dead Ahead destination event (1/9–1/13) where he will perform alongside Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, Rick Mitarotonda (Goose), Jeff Chimenti, Don Was, Oteil Burbridge, Brittney Spencer, and Grace Bowers.
