Dark Star Orchestra has announced its first domestic 2025 tour dates. The 13-show West Coast swing is due to begin following the long-running Grateful Dead tribute act’s Jamaican Jam in the Sand destination festival in January.
After kicking off with a January 30th performance at The Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ, the tour will make like a headlight on a northbound train, lighting up venues in Del Mar, CA (1/31), Los Angeles, CA (2/1), Ventura, CA (2/3), Monterey, CA (2/5), Menlo Park, CA (2/6), Napa, CA (2/7), Oakland, CA (2/8), and Blue Lake, CA (2/10) as Dark Star Orchestra works its way up the California coast. The band will finally make its way up to the Pacific Northwest for a show in Bend, OR (2/11), a two-night, two-venue stop in Seattle, WA (2/13, 2/14), and a tour-closing concert in Portland, OR (2/15).
Dark Star Orchestra has set aside tickets at each venue on its 2025 winter tour for an artist pre-sale running from Wednesday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. PT through Thursday, October 17th at 10:00 p.m. PT – (with passcode: SCARLET/). Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning on Friday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. PT. Complete ticketing details for the 2025 winter tour are available here.
The band still has plenty left to do on its 2024 itinerary ahead of the new year. In November, Dark Star Orchestra will kick off a fall tour with two nights at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre (11/15, 11/16) ahead of stops in Poughkeepsie, NY (11/17), Rome, NY (11/20), Binghamton, NY (11/21), Boston, MA (11/22), New Haven, CT (11/23), Pittsburgh, PA (11/26), Jim Thorpe, PA (11/27), and Huntington, NY (11/29, 11/30). The band will regroup during the last week of the year for a December 28th show in Washington, D.C., a December 29th stop in Philadelphia, PA, and a two-night New Year’s stint back at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (12/30, 12/31).
