Indiana-based quartet Dizgo has earned a reputation as a perennial Midwest jam workhorse via standout performances at some of the scene’s top festivals. This fall, the band will bring its gripping blend of jamtronica, funk, soul, and psychedelic rock to audiences across the East Coast and Midwest on the remainder of its 2024 Orbital Tour.
The latest leg of the 2024 Orbital Tour will begin on October 25th at The 8×10 in Baltimore, MD with LITZ, followed by a Bowl-hopping two-night run featuring gigs at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia (10/26, supporting Dogs in a Pile) and the flagship Brooklyn Bowl in New York (10/27, as part of a three-band showcase featuring Big Shrimp and Escaper).
During Halloween week, Dizgo—comprised of Andrew Pickel (guitar, vocals), Kevin Hinnefeld (bass, keys, vocals), Justin Clark (drums), and Jake Evatt (keys, vocals)—will bring its dynamic, improvisation-heavy sounds to Covington, KY for a late-night The Disco Biscuits after-party on October 30th ahead of an All Hallows Eve (10/31) performance at Thunderbird Music Hall in Pittsburgh alongside Grub and The Sun Champs. Ensuing shows in Erie, PA (11/1) and Buffalo, NY (11/2) will serve as the band’s final Northeast shows of the year.
“With the Orbital Tour, we’re basically blasting off into outer space!” Evatt told Live For Live Music. “It’s all about taking our sound to that next level of consistency and depth. We’ve really dialed in our live performances, finding a groove where every show feels tight but still has that spontaneity we’re known for. It’s like we’ve found the perfect orbit—we’re pushing boundaries while keeping things locked in musically. The energy is just on a whole new level.”

In November and December, the tour will continue with a string of shows across Florida including stops at Dunedin Brewery in Dunedin (11/9), ZeyZey in Miami (11/10), the iconic Skipper’s Smokehouse in Tampa (11/14), and more. After dates in the band’s home state and around the South, including a show in Charleston, SC on the night before Goosemas (12/12), the tour will wrap up on the winter solstice (12/21) as the band airs its musical grievances with a Festivus celebration at Hannon’s Camp America in Ohio.
The Orbital Tour will cap off another historic year for Dizgo, one that saw the band release two new albums. The group’s third studio album, Melt, arrived in February and the band followed it up seven months later with Live in Atlanta, documenting Dizgo’s June 22nd, 2024 show at Terminal West. Pickle said that the band already has plans to record more new music in its new studio.
“Looking back on 2024 I’m proud to say I’ve played more shows in a year than ever before, and survived being dropped in headfirst into this completely new environment all while still trying to finish college,” Clark, who joined the group in May, said. “I’m looking forward to seeing how the band sound evolves even further on this new leg, as we’ve found new strides with each set of shows, we really saw this progression start at our Terminal West show in Atlanta. It felt like a switch got flipped, so much so, that we re-mastered the album and released it on all streaming services.”
Whether you’re catching them at a small club or a massive festival stage, Dizgo isn’t just a band you listen to—they’re a band you experience. With a fall tour packed with exciting collaborations and a sound that promises to keep you moving, the group is poised to close out 2024 on a high note.
“The Orbital Tour is the most ambitious tour we have put together as a band. I think it’s been showing that we have all been able to focus on this project full time, and showing the first signs of our true potential,” Pickle said, with Hinnefeld adding, “We’ve developed a past-forward concept that we’re bringing to the stage every night. It involves blending old songs with new songs, making our sound retro yet futuristic. When you come out to a show, we’ll take you on a nostalgic, future-funk odyssey.”
