The other-worldly improvisational trio of drummer Joe Russo, keyboardist John Medeski, and guitarist Nels Cline will reconnect in January 2025 for a two-night run stopping at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl (1/10) and Woodstock, NY’s Bearsville Theater (1/11).
This combo of the eclectic Joe Russo’s Almost Dead drummer (Russo), the Medeski Martin & Wood keyboard sorcerer (Medeski), and the extraterrestrial Wilco guitarist (Cline) first performed a pair of shows together at The Sultan Room back in February 2024 as the fourth edition of Russo’s rotating This Is Gonna Be a Blast live improvisation series. Now, the trio will bring its sonic explorations to a pair of larger rooms, letting significantly more listeners in on a not-so-well-kept secret perviously confined to the intimate Bushwick club.
