The early-days Phish rock opera, which includes a number of the most beloved songs in the band’s repertoire, had not been performed in its entirety with narration since 1994.

The 2024 New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden will cap an eventful year for Phish. After releasing their 16th album, Evolve, in July and notching a number of notable promotional appearances including an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, Anastasio, Jon Fishman (drums, vocals), Mike Gordon (bass, vocals), and Page McConnell (keys, vocals) set out on a well-received summer tour that culminated in band’s 11th curated festival, Mondegreen, and their customary Labor Day weekend stint at Commerce City, CO’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Before Phish returns to its de facto home court for New Year’s Eve, the band—comprised of —will head to Albany, NY’s MVP Arena on October 25th, 26th, and 27th for a run of three performances benefitting the Anastasio-co-founded Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program and its facility in Ludlow, Vermont. Limited single-day and three-day tickets for the Phish Divided Sky benefit run in Albany are available via Ticketmaster.
