New Bloom Festival has announced its return for March 2025, running three east-coast events across a whirlwind 72 hours. Heading up the line-up for its second iteration are UK post-grunge outfit Basement, who return to Australia for the first time in six years following a co-headliner with The Story So Far that took place in April 2019 – one of their final tours before entering a hiatus. The band officially reunited in 2023, and have been touring North America extensively since then.
Balance & Composure will also return to Australia for the first time since their own 2023 reunion. The Pennsylvanian emo-rock band were last in the country circa 2017, playing a run of theatre shows in support of their third album Light We Made. They split up in 2019, but reunited in 2023 and released their fourth album With You In Spirit earlier this year. The full line-up can be found below.
Basement – ‘Aquasun’
New Bloom ran for the first time back in March, and was headlined by performances from Citizen, Movements and Touché Amoré. A series of sideshows were also announced for several acts on the bill, including Movements playing shows with Softcult and The Story So Far side project No Pressure playing their own shows away from the festival.

A pre-sale for the festival runs from 5pm AEDT on Monday, November 11th. General sale then follows on Wednesday, November 13th at 12pm local time. Both can be accessed via the New Bloom website.
