Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed onstage at this year’s Grammys, giving their 2020-dominating collab ‘WAP’ its live debut together.
The duo’s performance opened with Megan, who sang her Good News standouts ‘Body’ and her remix of ‘Savage’ featuring Beyoncé. The latter did not appear onstage to perform, though she did appear onstage with Meg to collect their Best Rap Song award for the track.
After Megan performed ‘Savage’, Cardi B joined onstage to perform her recent single ‘Up’. The pair’s big finish saw them team up to deliver a show-stopping live rendition of ‘WAP’ – for the first time ever.
Megan Thee Stallion cleaned up at this year’s awards, receiving four nominations. She’ll take home Best New Artist, along with Best Rap Song and Best Performance for ‘Savage (Remix)’ with Bey. She’s also up for Record of the Year with the song.
‘WAP’ was released back in August of 2020, the lead single from Cardi B’s forthcoming second studio album. It was not submitted for Grammys consideration this year and will instead be submitted next year as part of Cardi’s album cycle.
