Sonic Bloom Festival will return to its picturesque home at the Hummingbird Ranch just south of Colorado City, Colorado next summer. The four-day music event announced the return of its 14th running on June 20th-23rd next year, with Gramatik, Opiuo and Emancipator Ensemble all set to headline the summer 2019 event.

Sonic Bloom organizers shared the “Phase 1” portion of their 2019 lineup over the weekend, which included a list of performers across electronic, jam, and funk genres. Next year’s headliners Gamatik, Opiuo and Emancipator Ensemble have all played the bohemian-friendly event in the past. They’ll be joined in their 2019 return by an impressive list of performers highlighted by The New Observatory, a new collaborative project made up of The New Deal‘s Jamie Shields and String Cheese Incident‘s Michael Travis and Jason Hann. Kalya Scintilla & Eve OlutionRuss Liquid Test, Yheti, Mark FarinaZilla and Vibesquad have also found their way into the initial phase of the Friday’s lineup announcement.

The all-ages family festival sets itself apart from events in the pop circuit, as organizers have built the reputation for including an abundance of non-musical, niche interest activities and activations throughout the four days and nights of Sonic Bloom. Attendees can try their hand (and bodies) at yoga and dance workshops, art installations, as well as permaculture and social consciousness experience, in addition to “a variety of visual artists and entertainers embedded throughout the festival grounds,” according to a local press announcement.

The Sonic Bloom Academy also offers a few different educational workshops which take place in the days leading up to the event. The three-day Academy in 2019 will teach students how to paint via a Visionary Art Series, as well as learning more about the craft of modern music production with the Ableton Live Master Series. More info about this year’s Academy can be found by clicking here.

Any music fan with a curiosity of attending the 2019 event can check out Sonic Bloom 2018 recap video seen below, where much of the non-musical activities and activations are featured throughout.
