Guitarist Billy Strings unveiled “Wargasm,” a new single featuring rapper RMR. The track marks the first release of new music recorded in the studio by Strings outside of his “The Great Divide” collaboration with Luke Combs since his Grammy-winning 2019 album Home and comes with an animated video.
Billy Strings wrote “Wargasm” with Aaron Allen, Jon Weisberger and RMR. Strings and band mates bassist Royal Masat, banjoist Billy Failing and mandolinist Jarrod Walker debuted the song live during the final night of their “The Déjà Vu Experiment” livestream concert residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on February 24. Seven additional live versions have followed thus far.
The guitarist tapped Grant Claire (GOODNICETHANKS) to put together the animated “Wargasm” video. RMR spits a verse towards the end of the song. Billy Strings opens his Summer Solstice tour tonight at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, Illinois.
