Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Reschedules & Cancels Indoor Dates

209

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead rescheduled three upcoming indoor shows in the Midwest to March 2022 and also canceled an August concert and two tour dates in New Orleans “due to the recent COVID-19 Delta variant surge.” Additionally, the quintet laid out safety precautions that will be in effect for 2021 performances starting with their August 21 show in Cleveland.

The band was supposed to play 20 Monroe Live in Grand Rapids on August 26 followed by a visit to The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin on August 27 and two nights at St. Louis venue The Pageant August 28 – 29. JRAD’s show in Grand Rapids has been canceled, while the Madison/St. Louis run will now take place March 18 – 20, 2022. The five-piece also scrapped performances at Mardi Gras World Ballroom in New Orleans previously scheduled for October 15 – 16 in the wake of Jazz Fest’s cancelation.

Refunds will be automatically issued to those who purchased tickets for the Grand Rapids and New Orleans shows. A 30-day window for those holding tickets to the Madison and St. Louis concerts to obtain refunds will be detailed soon. JRAD also announced Jon Shaw will sub for bassist Dave Dreiwitz in Madison and St. Louis next March.

Those attending 2021 JRAD concerts will be required to show proof they have been fully vaccinated at least two weeks before the concert or provide a negative PCR test result obtained with 48 hours of the show. The requirements will not be in effect for the band’s mini-festival at LOCKN’ Farm in Arrington, Virginia this weekend.
