202

The 26th episode of The JamBase Podcast is now available for your listening pleasure. Dobroist Andy Hall of The Infamous Stringdusters tells a pair of wild “Tour Stories” after “The Rundown,” a discussion of recent news stories and articles.

Andy Hall chatted with JamBase’s Scott Bernstein backstage before The Infamous Stringdusters’ November 15 show at The Gramercy Theater in New York City. Hall talked about the group’s busy 2018 that included a Grammy win for Best Bluegrass Album and compared the differences between life on the road as a young band with their present situation. Andy told the tour story of the time The Infamous Stringdusters thought they could enjoy a night off by tripping on acid, but ended up providing the entertainment for the place they were staying at instead. Hall went on to share a story of performing with hardcore bands as part of an anti-Nazi rally in Germany.

Bernstein and Andy Kahn co-host “The Rundown” to start the episode. The pair recapped the many tour announcements that were made in the past few weeks though Dead & Company confirmed their Summer Tour 2019 after recording. Next, AK led a discussion of the recently published JamBase 2018 Music Book List, while Scotty talked about the recently published 10 Acts We’d Like To See Release Recordings Of Every Show list.
