This year, God Street Wine has been celebrating their 30th anniversary. The quintet released new music and embarked on a summer tour that included stops in some cities GSW hadn’t played in decades. While the members of the band are spread out across the globe, they shared video featuring a new studio rendition of a classic song recorded remotely at their various home studios.
God Street Wine tackled the complex instrumental “Stupid Hat” in the new video. Guitarist Lo Faber wrote the song in 1992 and it quickly became a staple of their live shows. The new take on “Stupid Hat” was recorded by original members Faber, bassist Dan Pifer, guitarist Aaron Maxwell, keyboardist Jon Bevo and drummer Tom “Tomo” Osander this fall in Berlin, New Orleans and New York City.
