The String Cheese Incident Chooses Recent Austin Show For ‘Friday Night Cheese’

103

The String Cheese Incident devotes tonight’s installment of their Friday Night Cheese live archival video broadcast series to a performance that took place in Austin last week. SCI’s November 4th show at Stubb’s in Austin airs at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT this evening on nugs.net YouTube and can be viewed below.

The concert was the first of three nights for The String Cheese Incident at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheatre. Cheese dusted off a pair of covers they hadn’t performed since 2017 during the show. The sextet’s first take on Michel Camillo’s “Suntan” in over four years came within the first set while the encore saw SCI dust off their rendition of Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again.” Additionally, Michael Kang took a moment before the evening’s second set to dedicate the run to Jesse Aratow, the band’s longtime manager, agent, and friend who died suddenly on October 29.

Watch SCI’s November 4, 2021 performance starting at 8 p.m. ET tonight below:
