Strand of Oaks released an acoustic version of the song “Sunbathers.” The track appears on the recently issued album, In Heaven.
Strand Of Oaks primary member Timothy Showalter previously shared an acoustic recording of the In Heaven single, “Galacticana.” Accompanying that release was a note from Showalter indicating that additional acoustic reworkings of songs from the record were on the way, as evidenced by today’s stripped-down “Sunbathers.”
“This entire record [In Heaven] was written on my spirit guitar,” Showalter previously stated. “We have held each other for more hours than I can count. I’m so excited to share the songs at their very core of existence.”
Strand Of Oaks held the first of two sold-out Winter Classic shows last night at Johnny Brenda’s in Showalter’s former hometown of Philadelphia. Stream the acoustic version of “Sunbathers” below:
