The Chris Robinson Brotherhood concluded a series of three shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Sunday night with a pair of David Bowie cover debuts. Robinson and his band were joined by Once & Future Band frontman Joel Robinow for “All The Madmen” and “The Jean Genie” to close out the run.
Continuing a tradition, each concert ended with an encore featuring at least one cover debut. On Friday, The CRB was joined by a number of friends and family including Ethan Miller of Howlin Rain for their first-ever rendition of The Rolling Stones’ “Sing This All Together.” The band then cleared the stage for a take on “Sweet Virginia” by The Stones. Saturday’s show came to a close with the group’s initial cover of the Free classic “Ride On A Pony.”
The Chris Robinson Brotherhood emerged with Robinow on acoustic guitar for Sunday’s encore. Up first was Bowie’s “All The Madmen” from the legendary rocker’s 1970 album The Man Who Sold The World.
