moe. percussionist Jim Loughlin on Thursday shared a health update on his bandmate Chuck Garvey, who continues to recover from a stroke he suffered back in November. The vibraphone enthusiast relayed that Chuck continues to recover in no small part thanks to the love and support of the community.

“Just wanted to pass along a huge thank you from Chuck and Amy,” Jim wrote on Instagram. “Chuck’s recovery is coming along great and a large part of that is due to the tremendous amount of support and love he’s receiving from family, friends and fans. On behalf of Chuck, Amy and the entire moe. organization I just want to say thank you for this tremendous outpouring of support.”

A photo attached to the post shows Jim and Chuck holding a Chuck Side banner adorned with signatures of well-wishers. Earlier this month Garvey told fans he was “getting better every day.”

moe. first announced Chuck’s stroke back on November 9th, noting that the guitarist was hospitalized in “stable condition.” The band shortly thereafter canceled its remaining 2021 shows, save for a two-night run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. Those shows occurred on December 10th and 11th respectively, with each night seeing a slew of special guests help fill in for the absent guitarist, including Warren HaynesAron MagnerReid GenauerNate Wilson, and more. A highlight of the weekend came on Saturday when Chuck made a surprise appearance in a pre-recorded clip of him strumming a guitar.

Fans can contribute to a GoFundMe to help pay for Chuck’s medical expenses and rehabilitation costs. moe. has since announced a number of festival dates for 2022, including the band’s Summer Camp Music Festival set to return to Memorial Day weekend.
