Green River Festival will return to Greenfield, MA in 2022 with a lineup including Lake Street Dive, Father John Misty (solo), and Guster. Back for its second consecutive year at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, Green River will take place on June 24th–26th.
“We moved the 2021 festival to late August to give our audience the chance to get fully vaccinated before the event. This year we’re holding the festival on the last weekend of June, which will give our audience the chance to enjoy great summer weather and the longest days of the year,” said festival director Jim Olsen in a press release.
Also set to appear at Green River 2022 are Waxahatchee, Ripe, Galactic featuring Anjelika Jelly Joseph, Hiss Golden Messenger, Allison Russell, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Las Cafeteras, Katie Pruitt, Asleep At The Wheel, The Dip, Cha Wa, Kaleta & Super Yamba Band, Parsonsfield, Brennen Leigh, The Wildmans, Natu Camera, Steve Poltz, Rose & The Bros, MISTER G and the Global Citizen Ensemble, Matthew Fowler, and Oshima Brothers. Festival organizers promise to announce many more acts over the coming weeks.
Coming back to the Franklin County Fairgrounds for only the second time, this new venue offers many more amenities than previous sites and fosters a better environment for all festivalgoers when compared to previous venues.

“We are so excited to welcome our musical community back to the fairgrounds this June,” said Olsen. “We had a great first experience at the fairgrounds last August. It’s a much larger facility with great infrastructure. For the first time we were able to host both RV and tent campers on site and still have plenty of space for three stages of music and all the other elements that make Green River Festival special. We know it will be even better in 2022.”
Green River Festival will offer a variety of ticket packages in 2022, including weekend passes, student tickets, and single-day options. As always, kids under 10 will receive free entry. New in 2022 is a VIP package that includes parking, early entry, a festival merch package, access to an air-conditioned lounge, a daily happy hour, and a goody bag. A portion of the proceeds from these VIP tickets will benefit the Green River Festival charitable fund which supports developing music artists and environmental causes.
