Little Feat shared pro-shot video featuring a stellar “Spanish Moon” from a November 2021 concert. The footage was shot at The Egg in Albany, New York on November 16, 2021.
“Spanish Moon” is among the many classics included on the band’s iconic 1978 live album, Waiting for Columbus, which was recorded in 1977. Little Feat will devote much of 2022 to a Waiting For Columbus 45th Anniversary Tour. The group’s current lineup consists of longtime members keyboardist Bill Payne, bassist Kenny Gradney, percussionist Sam Clayton and guitarist Fred Tackett as well as recent additions drummer Tony Leone and guitarist Scott Sharrard. It was Sharrard who sang “Spanish Moon” in Albany.
The legendary group kicked off their November 16, 2021 concert in Albany with “Let It Roll” before diving into “Spanish Moon.” Late guitarist Lowell George wrote “Spanish Moon,” which Little Feat originally recorded for their 1974 studio album, Feats Don’t Fail Me Now. Little Feat was joined by The Midnight Ramble Horns for “Spanish Moon” in Albany and the horn section will take part in the Waiting For Columbus 45th Anniversary Tour.
