Elton John Adds New ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ Tour Dates

84

Elton John has added a string of new tour dates to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road stadium tour, including second performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on July 24th; Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on July 27th; and Rogers Center in Toronto, ON on September 8th. The newly added dates are sprinkled throughout the year from July through November, with the tour’s U.S. leg is now set to conclude with a three-night run at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium.

Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour began in 2018 and is being billed as the singer’s “final tour dates ever in North America and Europe.” With a setlist that includes some of Elton John’s most iconic songs, including “Bennie and the Jets” (the show opener), “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”,  “Tiny Dancer”, “Rocket Man”, “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”, and of course, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, the tour celebrates the legacy of one of pop music’s most prolific stars.

The tour has been subject to multiple interruptions, first when Elton John suffered a hip injury that required surgery, and then when he contracted COVID-19, but it is now underway with upcoming spring dates in the Midwest and South, including in St. Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN; Milwaukie, WI; Grand Rapids, MI; and Knoxville, TN.

After shows in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida, the tour will continue in Europe, with stops in Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, France, Ireland, and the singer’s birth place, the United Kingdom. Elton John will then return to the States for dates in the U.S. and Canada, which will conclude with three nights at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on November 17th, 19th, and 20th. The tour will continue in 2023 with shows that were rescheduled in Europe, the U.K., and New Zealand.
