The Garcia Project will continue a tradition this August with their annual Days Between tour. Eleven tour dates are planned spanning July 29 through August 22 including concerts on both the date Jerry Garcia was born (August 1) and passed away (August 9).
Founded in 2010, The Garcia Project has been playing concerts based on setlists performed by the Jerry Garcia Band from 1976 – 1995 ever since. The group featuring guitarist Mik Bondy stays true to the arrangements, instrumentation and feel from each period.
Up first is a two-night stand at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on July 29 and 30. The Garcia Project will utilize setlists from different eras each night. Next, the tribute act will honor what would have been Jerry Garcia’s 80th birthday with a concert in Brattleboro, Vermont. It’s then off to Old Saybrook, Connecticut on August 3 before a free concert in Norwich, New York on August 4. Vocalist Maria Muldaur will join the group in Norwich for a classic JGB show recreation from 1978, a year she was a member of the Jerry Garcia Band.
The Garcia Project returns to Massachusetts to continue the Days Between Tour 2022 with gigs in Fall River on August 5 and Cape Cod’s Truro on August 6. Bondy and company then perform in Manchester, New Hampshire on August 9. From there, the ensemble appears at the Catskill Mountain Jubilee on August 11 for two sets starting at 4:20 p.m. Finally, The Garcia Project closes out the run with stops in Wilmington, North Carolina on August 20 and Annapolis, Maryland on August 22.
