Canadian rockers The Jimmy Swift Band (The JSB) will reunite for a set at the 2022 Harvest Music Festival on Thursday, September 15. The JSB replaces The Slip featuring drummer Joe Russo, who canceled their appearance “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
The Harvest Music Festival takes place in downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick between September 13 and 18. Russo had been tapped to fill-in for The Slip’s Andrew Barr after Barr was enlisted to tour with Feist. Tickets for The Slip will be valid for The JSB show. Those interested in a refund have until Friday, September 2 to send requests to Ticketpro at [email protected].
The JSB was formed in Halifax in the late 1990s. The group has been on hiatus for the past decade after 1,000-+ performances but will team up at Harvest in support of longtime crew member Ron Anonsen. Ron was severely injured and lost his left leg in a serious motorcycle accident earlier this year in Los Angeles. Fans can help cover Anonsen’s extensive medical bills by donating to a GoFundMe or purchasing merch at the band’s festival performance.
